I put in an offer on an old Victorian home built in 1888 in Denver. I ended up getting referred to Dean and his company Benchmark Property Inspection. He is the owner of his company and it shows as he takes pride in everything he does. He is not only thorough, but he is knowledgeable beyond belief. In January 2006 I decided to list my home for sale in April 2006. My realtor told me about having the house pre-inspected and the services of Dean Bowring and Benchmark Property Inspection.
I had my home pre-inspected and quite a few items where discovered that would have been bargaining points for a buyer and would have resulted in a reduced price offer. I chose to fix all of them except the one that would cost $1200.
When I got a contract and the inspector for the buyer did his inspection, he told the buyer’s realtor and I that he had never before inspected a house where he could find nothing wrong (except the big one). Because the house was in such perfect condition, the buyer’s realtor advised the buyer to let the big item go! My home sold for the listed price with no haggling over things that needed to be fixed.
Dean Bowring does the most thorough inspection I have ever seen or could imagine. The findings are presented in a clear, concise and very professional manner. I highly recommend pre-inspection and Benchmark Property Inspection. Pre-inspection gives the seller a real advantage in this incredibly challenging real estate market.

My wife and I recently moved from Wyoming, purchased a home in Westminster, CO and had it inspected by Dean Bowring (Benchmark Property Inspection) prior to closing. Dean did a wonderful job. He performed an extensive and meticulous inspection of our home and left no stone unturned. The inspection was done while we were still in Wyoming; therefore, we were not present at the time. Dean emailed the inspection to us the day he inspected the home and also mailed us a hard copy (in a three ring binder, not a paper folder like other inspections we’ve had performed). Dean then contacted us that day to make sure that we received the emailed inspection and to answer any questions we might have. When we moved in everything in the house was exactly as Dean’s inspection reported it. My wife and I really felt like Dean was working for us, not the sellers or real estate agent like some inspectors we have used. Dean is extremely knowledgeable, detailed and professional in what he does. Both my wife and I would recommend Benchmark Property Inspection to anyone we know. We couldn’t be more satisfied.
